About Essence of Place
We love camping and surrounding ourselves in nature. Inspiration flows when we are close to the land and this is where Essence of Place songs are created, in the still space of forests, oceans, rivers…. the Australian bush. We tune in to the land and write songs from this place. Its like the land writes the songs for us and the essence of that place is captured in the song. All of a sudden a new song is born. The process is quick and often we record them in their rough form, so to remember them. The songs are a gift from nature and from earth. Each is as unique as each place, each capturing the Essence of Place.
